Torbjørn Røe Isaksen

Torbjørn Røe Isaksen (born 28 July 1978) is a Norwegian politician and MP for the Conservative Party.

He was the leader of the Young Conservatives (Unge Høyre), the youth wing of the Conservative Party, from 2004 to 2008. He is also the political editor in the gazette Minerva. Isaksen has a Master's degree in political science from the University of Oslo. His thesis was on F.A. Hayek.[1] In 2008 he published the book The Right Turn. For a New Conservatism, which was printed in three editions.

Hailing from Porsgrunn, he served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Telemark during the term 2005–2009.[2] In the 2009 election, the Telemark Conservatives won one seat in the Storting, which meant that Røe Isaksen entered parliament for the first time.

In 2007 he was named Norway's most talented young politician by VG, the then-most read daily newspaper.
